Weekly Quickie Episode 09: Sex Toy Testing Gone Wrong and How Betty Was Born

There's been sitting on how much details she's going to go into with a certain guy update. Well, can we call it a guy update? Just like a hookup? We can not call it a guy update. A hookup that I'm dying to hear about. And she has kept me in the dark all week so she could share it here. And now we're not sure if we're going to get the whole story. So are we going to get the whole story?

Well, we just never know what content we're going to have for this podcast, you know, so I can't give it all away prior in case I don't get the right reaction. But before we get into that, first things first, this week, we, by the time this is released, we will have released our new birdie plug, Betty. So excited to launch that one. Yes, very. And I think, Betty came about after a conversation you had in a sex toy store, that this was,

a female focused vibrating booty plug that ticks the boxes for females didn't really exist. Yeah. So we'd been, I mean, we sell peaches already, which is our beginner two pack of butt plugs. They don't vibrate and people had been asking us for a very long time to release a vibrating version. And she said, well, actually, if you're having heterosexual sex, AKA I'm a girl having a sex with a guy. She said most butt plugs are designed for men. So you'll notice, I wish I had, hold on, standby. Did we get it? Okay. So if you look at a butt plug like this, you'll see.

See how there's no real, like it can go into you, but then there's no real, like it's a little bit thinner here compared to his peaches. And see the neck here, the space between the head and then the bit that sits between your cheeks, like is nice and snug. So it just, and sits there. And then that's it. Whereas something like this that is more thick at the base, it doesn't have a very thin neck. Okay, sure. This isn't going to get stuck inside you cause it's got the loop.

But it's also not going to stay in very well, particularly, and this is a pretty niche example, but a lot of the butt plugs in store, you'll notice, they might have quite a big head, but then the neck as well, even if they have a flared base, isn't particularly different from the head, which means that if you're, if you've got it inside you and say you're trying to have missionary sex with someone, or say you're going to put your knees just above their shoulders, as soon as you open your butt hole up like that, it will just shoot out.

So when we were designing and when I was in the shop, Wendy was saying to me the essential part is that A, it needs to have the really thin neck, but secondly, the part that will make it even better when you're having sex with someone is if the flared base is slightly not even. So what I mean by that is you can see this is the part that would be closer to my vagina and then this part would, the back part is slightly longer. So you still have a really wide flared base. Okay, so this butt plug is apparently, look at this one, this is apparently one of the most awarded butt plugs on the market. And the tail, you can see that it's like even at the bottom. And I found that when I had that inside me, that would lead to quite a bit of pinching. So you'll see that Betty is just like a fraction, you're not gonna be able to see, but Betty is a fraction shorter.

So if you're already filling up part of the space, that means anything else that goes inside you is gonna be, you're gonna feel it more, it's gonna feel like more pressure on places like your G spot, your A spot and wherever, it's gonna put more pressure on the penis owner. And so the reason that the thick part of Betty is at the bottom as well is because

that's designed to then put more pressure on your G-spot. So it's a size that is super beginner because this is not particularly, like this, think is too intimidating from a size perspective for someone who's starting. So it's like perfect size for a beginner, does the trick in terms of puts the pressure in all the right places. It's not gonna get lost. You don't have to freak out about going to the hospital. I would be worried with the longer neck as well, but like,
