Podcast Transcript

Hello and welcome back to the Girls Get Off podcast. We are now season two, which is exciting. We've got such a, I don't know, it's a bit of a different plan this time, isn't it? I know, I feel like there's a lot of things in our business that have changed or that we have made a conscious effort to change as well, which is exciting and the podcast is one of them. So we've had a bit of a break from releasing episodes and now we're back. Yeah. Yeah, I am currently trying to fix my hair because I have put my headphones on one-handed and now we're also video recording these, so just great. But the reason I put my headphones on one-handed is because like a minute before our morning meeting a little while ago, my neighbor just drove up and dropped off a little bunny. So Jo's got a little bunny in her hand that's been attacked by a cat this morning, is that right? Yeah, I think the cat was just carrying it, like he doesn't look like he's hurt apart from cat slobber. But yeah, so it's been a week on our holiday house farm life. And so far I've got a baby lamb and now a baby bunny. So all go at the farmhouse. But let's touch on what we've been up to since we stopped recording episodes. So I think we had a flick through and the last episode we recorded must have been with Morgan Penn back in March or April. So a few things have changed since then. And I guess one of the major ones being that we moved out of our office. So I was obviously already based over in Sydney. And then we still had the warehouse. But we've actually since changed. And we've moved everything to 3PL, which means that we don't touch our dispatch anymore. That's all done for us, which in terms of, for simplicity's sake and from our point of view and being able to just focus on creating content and marketing, instead of having to worry about if we have a big day of orders and then everyone's going to go and help, or if things go wrong, or the printer breaks, then having that. process out of our hair has actually been a game changer I think. Yeah absolutely and they always say that you know when you get on the right path kind of things just start falling into place and for me it was like such an instant okay we've made the right decision here hey like it just it just worked and then opportunities started opening up and stuff for us. Yeah, and I think that the adjustment from like, it's so easy to create content when you've got a space that's all branded and you've got people there and you can do random fun things, but we've just had to, and we're still in the process really of like adjusting to having a remote team, but it's now having planned this and having gone through this process, I feel like we are um, we're getting there, which is great. Joe's being interrupted by a kid that she told him not to talk to her during this podcast. Normally he's asking for food when we have meetings. He had to wait till 10 o'clock to have this gummy that he's been wanting. A gummy. Yeah. Nice. And so he's coming in to tell me that the gummy actually. doesn't taste good. Oh great. Important aloe. Yeah, okay. All right, we're back. Gummy life is important. Yeah, so important. And I guess a few other things have been happening since then as well, which has been good. I guess the content's been the main thing in terms of us cranking it up, and I feel like it's been like. For us, as soon as other things happen within the business, like whether we're working on the business, strategizing, figuring out things operationally, content's always the first thing to go. So I feel like the content has, there's definitely been less quantity over the past few months, but at the same time, it's all because we have needed to change things within the business and refocus things, which has been good. And now we're in a... where the contents coming back which is exciting. Yeah, yeah and yeah we finally have the time I think to concentrate on it so yeah watch this space. I was just getting confused from the last time we recorded this episode and Joe and I have actually recorded this episode before and then we decided it wasn't very good so we're actually doing this again and I was just looking at my notes saying, oh we're talking about that next and my brain went, oh last time we talked about the other point so it's actually, this is irrelevant but the next thing we want to talk about is... Dating, have you been dating, Jo? We've had some guy in the DMs trying to ask you out on a date that hasn't eventuated. Yeah, saw some red flags. Saw some red flags as usual. I see red flags all the time. I'm not sure if we wanna discuss those red flags on here, do we? Not sure. No, I feel like it was just not the right medium to, I suppose he's got no other way to ask you out other than DMing, but. It's still not quite the right... No. Is it? I don't know. Yeah, I'm not sure how much I want to go into this, but only because I don't want anyone to take offense to it if they're listening. But you know, Lib told him that, you know, I'm busy. I dabble in Bumble and Hinge, but... Oh, funny. I've had the Bumble and Hinge apps for like months now. And I think just yesterday or the day before. I swiped one to the right and it literally came up. Which is a yes swipe. That means you like them. Yeah. And it literally came up with a message and it's like, this way means you like them and you want to match. And I was like, oh shit, this is my first person I've swiped to that side. Oh my gosh, did they match you back? I think so. You should be careful with Bumble because you need to, you know, you've got to message them within 24 hours if you match, so. Yeah, and see, I'm just, it's too much admin. It's too much admin. I feel like I just sometimes just have a scroll, you know, to see what's happening out there, but like the thought of even having a conversation with a guy right now, like, too hard basket, you know? But yeah. Anyway, so we do, you know, if somebody on Hinge or whatever does like me, I see you, but I'm probably crossing that because it's just not my thing, you know? So you don't need to keep like resetting your Hinge profile so then you can like me again because it just like... You know, it just gives me red flags. I love that. And I also find that the depths, I find that it's quite difficult because you like, for me personally, I kind of like to understand someone's vibe, you know? Like you wanna understand what they, so you know, kind of how they hold themselves and what they sound like. And to me that, yeah, I suppose that's the reason you're supposed to meet up with people. But I've got a friend at the moment who has taken a different approach. So. She's actually, it's actually very inspiring. I'm considering doing something similar because the apps, you know, you just can't tell if you're gonna be attracted to someone from the app. Like you can tell if they're hot and you can tell if they're good looking, but I feel like that's different to being attracted to them. And so she has these little notes in the back of her phone and they say, you're cute. And then on the other side, it says her Instagram handle and then date question mark. So she's been like going up to people in person. and saying like, oh my god, you dropped this and then like running away or like just walking off. Love this. Yeah, it's so good. I've seen her do it a couple of times now and she's got a hundred percent strike rate. And I just think it's so great. Has she had any fails? Like has she done anyone that's had a girlfriend or anything like that? No, she hasn't done anyone who's had a girlfriend but she has done, she did walk up to someone at the beach and then she realized they were like 21 and I think she might be I think she's early thirties, so she was like, I immediately realized I'd made a mistake. But yeah, other than that, it's yeah, I mean, like an abort button on there, like that you can just press and explode the note. Yeah. And even though it's a hundred, like even though everyone has like messaged her back, I'd like she's been on dates with a few people and I don't think like, I mean, she hasn't found the husband that she's looking for, but it's a good, you know, trial and error. And she's also doing like, she'll go walking at 6am when she thinks that, well her theory is that at 6 o'clock in the morning the guys that will be out there if they're single, like if they're walking alone there's a high chance that they're single, otherwise they might be with their partner and they'll be like quite fit for both so that's her current... She's put a lot of thought into this! Yeah and I was, I don't really... watch sport ever. In fact, I will avoid going out or going to people's houses when there's sport on because I'm like boring. But the other day I wanted to catch up with some friends and I actually checked before they said, oh, we're going to the pub at like five. And I actually checked, I was like, oh good, the game doesn't start till 8.30. I'm like, cause that's boring. And then I went down there and there was a different game on at five o'clock, but there was just, there were just hot guys everywhere. I was like, I am coming down to the pub when the AFL is on next time and I'm gonna have to come up with some notes or something myself or just like write my number on things. And just, I feel like it's like sales. You get rejected a few times, not a big deal, but then you just get used to it. And so it's like nothing. Yeah, and I love that note already written thing and you just like whip it out and walk off. Because then if they don't message, it's hardly even like rejection. It could just be they have a girlfriend or something else. You wouldn't take it to heart at all. It's genius, love it. Yeah, and having her Instagram handle on there, it's like a sales pitch, you know? It's not just- So good, so good. Then if someone doesn't know, like didn't get a good glance of her because she's run away from them at six o'clock in the morning, then she, yeah, she's got that on offer, you know? But yeah, anyway, I thought- If someone turns around and starts running beside her. Oh. Very big. Remember we had someone on the podcast last year, I forget her name, and she... Isn't she like a third generation matchmaker? Oh yeah, matchmaker Maria. Yeah, and she actually like planned where she was gonna go around the type of guy that she wanted, you know what I mean? And you actually... You do it with anything else, so I don't know why we don't do it with dating, it's so sensible. Yeah, and I feel like if I think about my life, I'm just always hanging out with my friends. I do go to the gym, but otherwise I'm hanging out with my friends, running with my friends. There's not real, unless you're gonna sleep with your friends, which is normally not a, I normally like to cast in it wider, then I feel like you're not actually putting, it's like you're not finding a target audience. Viv is like the... nicest person that you just like latch on as a friend straight away. So this theory of hers that she needs to cast her net wider, like as soon as somebody meets somebody they're instantly her friend. So we got to, yeah, I'm trying to explain that, you know, like things that happen out of friendships are actually quite good. Yeah, I know. But like also, yeah, but. Not not like, yeah. Not old school friend. I think I just actively try and, in my head, look outside of immediate friend groups. But yeah, anyway, we've gotta be open to these things. You know? Yeah, you're a lot more open than I am, that's for sure. But actually this leads us to... The RISD story? The RISD story. The RISD story. Yeah. I was gonna try and make that sound a lot nicer Viv, but no thank you for doing that. Yeah so Viv was playing hard to get. So... Well no I wasn't playing hard to get. What happened was I... well initially I think when someone is like in a friend circle or whatever then I just... nothing goes through my mind of like... like, oh am I into them? Like unless it's like a new friendship and there's still like opportunity for that. But if I've like hung out with them before or something, then normally so far in like the friend zone in my head, it's just not even a consideration. And then this, yeah, it just so ended up happening that I was then in bed with one of my friends and then it just turned into a vristy. It was actually very sexual and a lot of sexual tension and it was very hot and it was great. But I was like, I'm not, also there was a bigger picture and we've talked about it and I said, this is my old pattern for a number of reasons and I've even talked to my therapist about it recently. But anyway, this taking away from the funny story. But we, yeah, it was a fun encounter. And after this RISD, which was, it's a bit of a laugh really, we laugh about it. We actually spoke to one of our new mentors about like RISD tips. Yeah, you know, take an opportunity while it's there, an experienced male. We wanted to know from a guy's point of view if he had any tips for us. And so we pulled these tips out. This was a couple of months ago now, but we pulled these tips out to share them with you all, because great. um great knowledge you know we all need to know how to get better recipes by the way awesome willpower i don't know if i've ever been able to do that like and the sexual tension between us was just like wild and it was still wild until it's probably still it's probably still all right it's still there but it's going it's um it's decreasing i said to i said to um like he knows this and i've I think I've said to you, Joe, I've said to multiple people, I'm like, if I sleep with this person and go down this path, I'm like, this is the universe testing me. This is the universe testing me. This is going to turn into a situation ship. This is not going to end well. We're going to get six months down the track. We're going to be on holiday together. We're going to be hanging out together all the time. And then all of a sudden I'm going to be like, oh, I've got these feelings. I didn't realize I wanted these feelings. And then it's just going to be a shambles. So the... It's been, it's actually been a very good learning curve. And it's been so hard. The way I explained it to therapists yesterday, I was like, imagine when you've got like a bag of lollies in the fridge and you're like, I shouldn't eat the lollies, but I just really, really want them. That's what it's been like. And it's just been very intense, but now it's fine. Now it's fine. And I'm really comfortable with my decision. I feel like I've like, I feel like I've made progress. Do you know if this was the other way round, I feel like... you would say, oh my gosh, no, it could also end in marriage. So, yeah. Yeah, all right. Well, I think, yeah. No, I think you're being very strong. Well, now I feel like it's been a few months, you know? Like it's all chilled. Yeah. All right, shall we get into these rusty tips? Yeah, and also I feel like the context behind the rusty tips is that one of the things we love about having this business and also talking to other people in the industry. is that we're so desensitized to talking about sex, pleasure, anything like this. So we've got this mentor at the moment who's spent more than 20 years in this industry and the stuff we talk about sometimes I'm just like, oh my gosh, this is so, it's just hilarious isn't it? And because it's so normal and you don't even blink twice and it's just like, are we really talking about like... what people could possibly do with these toys and why we needed to make them a certain color or in this case, I think I just said, well it was National Handjob Day wasn't it? And so I'd said like, oh, I'd go sawing a wristy in the weekend and then we said have you got any good tips for us? And just without hesitation he just launched into it. Yeah, yeah. With hand movement and all sorts. the girth as he was doing the hand movements, like had me in stitches a bit. So funny. Oh my gosh. Jake just walked past the window. Anyway, okay, so there was, we asked lube or no lube? Yeah. Do we want to just play the recording or? Oh, we might, maybe we'll just talk about it. We'll just talk about it. Yeah, we haven't asked him if we're gonna, yeah. Okay, so. Yeah, apparently different sensation. See, I would have just, oh my gosh, no, far enough away, I would have just done lube to be honest. I thought like a dry wink would be not good. I know, I feel like after What's a Face from Cooler Daddy talked about the Gluck 9000 on their podcast and just talked about the amount of spit that's ideal for a blowjob that you just it's you know, where there is better and that's always the way but he was like no it's just it's just two different experiences. Yeah, yeah and he said don't forget about the bass so you gotta like write down. Can you hear that lamb? Yeah. Oh my god. I'm loving farm life. Yeah, so don't forget about the base. They are, they both, he really expressed that they're both as like good, just different. Which kind of blew my mind. Yeah, that was not what I was expecting actually, but you know, I also don't have a penis, so how are we supposed to know this? Yeah, yeah, true. I think I'm just used to, you know, you go to a guy's house and nine times out of ten there's a bottle. of moisturiser beside his bed. I feel. Do you not get it? Yeah I guess so. I'm like oh my god I will not be putting moisturiser on anyone's deck. No but have you noticed that? Yeah I have not, I have noticed that. Oh my gosh this lamp. He also said to like go really slowly and build to a crescendo. Yes. I love the word crescendo. I think we died at that. Yep, and like yeah, really draw it out. Which I feel like is the same for, it's the same for like that's what I like. Yeah. You know, it's so much better if it's slower and if there's just lots of teasing and it's just all, it's probably, it's all just because we've learned things from porn and it's all just misconstrued and we're always trying to rush, you know? Yeah, so true, so true. And then, ball play we touched on and I'm gonna need look I got a little rabbit in this hand so I'm not gonna. Poor rabbit. Look how cute he is. Um yeah so like you do the little hand thing. He put his he put his hands like imagine like a pig's trotters and he kind of did a kind of did a like a downwards facing fist but with his index and middle fingers like dropped down so. two like balls which was just all time I think we lost it at that point and then he was explaining that oh you have to explain that part because I wasn't watching the video oh so yeah that's what I needed you to do the action so it was just like yeah behind so just to the side but like he was kind of going like to the side behind there's some glands and like this is good Okay so we can kind of stroking. Okay so to recap it was what down the side and just on the bottom or behind? I think behind yeah behind like side and behind. Yeah anyway that was a hot tip hadn't heard that one before. No and just gentle nobody wants what did he do you remember how he was? Well because if you remember the episode with Cam Fraser When Jo realised she's been squeezing people's balls hard all these years. Too hard. Oh my gosh. Hi. Sorry. If it's not a kid interrupting, it's a lamb. Oh my gosh, funny. Sorry. Yeah, so me squeezing balls too hard. And then, yeah, do you remember? Yeah, anyway, nobody likes that, guys. No one likes that. So there's some hot tips, there's some, you know, there's some hot tips you can try it at home. Yeah. Um, what else has been happening, Jo? I feel like you had an exciting update with your snatched jaw. Oh, yes. Um, yeah, so I, um, literally have... Um, yeah, what like what initially brought it on there are a couple of things, right? I think you were just looking at yourself on slack Yeah Yeah, like I just but you also have to tell like tell the story about how your friend was also growing Like I just feel like that timing is hilarious. I forget what um Brought me to ask that but anyway, like last year I put on quite a bit of weight and stuff and you know life's just busy and so I wanted to, give me a sec, you chat. Oh no, there you go, they're off, thank you. Yeah, so anyway, for whatever reason, there was something that was like the last straw for me anyway and I'm like, oh my gosh, I just need this double chin gone, like, need it gone. And I messaged my friend who I knew. like kind of does her research about this stuff and everything. And she was like, Oh, I'm going up in a week and a half. Um, see if, see if you can come with me. I was like, sweet. Sounds good. So yeah, message the sir. Is he a surgeon? Don't think he's a surgeon, whatever he is. Um, hopefully he's a surgeon. Oh, is he? Yeah. Like a guy anyway. So, um, yeah, managed to get in. in a week and a half. So it's just like a spare of the moment chiseled chin, you know, no regrets. Definitely could have spent my money a little wiser, but I feel like, no, this is good. But the one thing, I am not somebody who's watched all the shows and everything on this stuff. Like, there was no warning. No, another good episode of Botched. Yeah, no, and I've never watched that probably because I'm not like, I pass out at that sort of stuff, like can't stand it. But anyway, turns out that I don't, like the sedation just doesn't work on me. And so I was telling this guy that I'm awake, I'd had two doses already, which is usually, you know, the full amount. And you've had sedation before and it hasn't worked and he just didn't like? Well, I didn't even think. Oh, right. You know, like I knew it hadn't worked, but I thought maybe that, well, I just didn't even put two and two together because it had only happened once. And I just figured they did something wrong at the time or something. So it never even like occurred to me that this wouldn't work. And so after two doses, I was like, it was quite sore when they were putting the local into my chin. And I was, I don't handle these things well. And this guy's like yelling out to his nurse, I've got a moving target. Like give us some more sedation. So in goes a third lot of sedation. And after he'd finished the local and stuff, he's like, okay, I'm gonna give you 15 minutes to let that sink in and then we'll go for it. And he walked back in the room and I was like, can I please have some more? Like I really wanna be asleep for this. I really want to, you know, not realize what's going on. He's like. You're more asleep than you realize. You're not going to remember any of this. It's okay. Tilt my head back on the bed. Like those three little slices shoves this like steel thing in, which I made the mistake of like, look at it. Don't do that. And it kind of went through to get it through like the hole. It kind of like, you know, like it was kind of like a tight hole. So you felt like the force and then like the, yeah, push through type of thing. And then have you seen them do life over four and one of those bot shows? Yeah. It is like full force. Honestly, the art like put so much work into it and like the sound, it just had me. He's like, this tube's getting shoved into my chin and it's going. Oh my gosh, and all I could do at this stage was laugh because he wasn't believing me that I was awake. And I'm like. So you couldn't, you couldn't, is it like at the dentist where you can't, like you can't feel the pain, but you can feel all the pressure? Cause you've got local in there as well. Yeah, yeah. So it wasn't painful at all. It was just like hideous, the noise and like the force. So like, oh shit, I just bumped the mic. Yeah. It's like, oh my gosh. Anyway, I hope I'm not turning anyone off having chin lipo because it's a game changer. I want to know, like have you been back to talk to him and saying like, by the way I remember the whole thing. No, not yet. I have an appointment. Yeah, I have an appointment coming up with him. I wonder what they'll say. Wild. So now I know for the future that when they say they'll sedate me, I feel like it's my anxiety though. I feel like my anxiety outweighs the sedation. I have had sedation for my wisdom teeth and it was such a lovely experience, I just couldn't recommend it enough. I was like, oh this is lovely. That's what I was hoping for and they said, like even my friend was waiting for me in the room and they walked me out and they said, oh she's just going to sleep for an hour and a half, she's had lots of sedation, she's really tired. And I laid down, took a video that I sent to you guys with my tongue hanging outside of my mouth because I don't know. much like anesthetic and stuff and I just sat up and I asked for a coffee and then I said can I go like I'm very awake I'm fine and so they let me go and I went to the supermarket like I must have looked like a complete dead but yeah. Wow there you go. Wild, what a journey. Yeah oh we have to keep us updated. Look, there's been some other random things that have happened. And I guess working at Girls Get Off, there's always different things that pop up. And we're probably gonna make, well, we are making a bit more of an effort to document more of these, because I feel like we get so many of these different obstacles and things that, you know, on our day-to-day, like just yesterday, for example, you know, I'm trying to use chat GPT, and it's like, that's sexual and it won't give me answers. And so. There's a lot of random hurdles. And the other day we went to ship some stock from, I think it was from Australia to New Zealand because we'd run out of MISSEES and NZ. And one of the people, like I don't think DHL would pick them up because of the batteries. And then when we went to FedEx, we thought, okay, perfect, this is gonna work. And then sure enough, when they came to pick it up, we, oh, they wouldn't pick it up, when they came to pick it up. we got a notification that it was like, sorry, this is classed as pornography or obscene material. So we weren't able to get those picked up. So I can't even remember how they got into the country in the end, but it took us a few weeks longer than expected, but I feel like these moments are just, oh, it's just so girls get off. Like, it's just, I don't expect anything to go, I mean, we never really expect anything to go smoothly in business, but the, you know, this kind of thing where it's problems that people. in other businesses certainly do not have to deal with, you've just got to laugh about them. So we'll keep you updated on a few more of those things as they pop up too. Yeah, no, I think even our shipping agent was like, when he rang me about it, he's like, to be honest, I can't even give you a reason for this, they're just foods. Yeah, I know. Wow. And we've got a few exciting things in the pipeline. We do. So our audience actually named our toy cleaner that will be ready soon. That is Afterbanger, great name guys. Yeah. Yeah, so when's Afterbanger gonna be ready? I probably should have asked you in the meeting this morning-ish, ballpark. Next month, month after? No. It'll be ready in the next couple of weeks. already in the next week and then should be here by end of October. Yeah, so that's exciting. You'll know all about it when the toy clinic is available, which will be great. And it looks so cute as well, like everything, it's got to look good. Yeah, yeah. We did put lots of effort into that. And our other product, if you haven't seen already, is Peaches. So we finally launched a booty plug, I think. Booty plugs are something that our audience has been talking about, especially in confessions. We've had questions. We had, you know, Morgan Penn did our butt play for beginners live last year. And since then, I feel like it's a, it's certainly like a step up from Missy, which is super unintimidating. You've got the external only, and then something like a booty or a butt plug is definitely something that. takes things to a next level. It's not for everyone. Like I think there's already enough of a taboo around sex toys in general, let alone butt stuff. I think it's seen as like quite dirty. People just don't even wanna go there. They don't understand what like the pleasure is that can come from that. Cause it's never something that they've explored. So. And for me, it was like any time anybody mentioned butt plate, cause I think you think of booty plugs, right? as this really kind of experienced person thing, right? So when anybody would talk about anal butt play, anything like that, I just imagine going straight from zero to dick in butt, you know? Like, which is scary and it's, you know what I mean? I'm a clincher. So. these beginner booty plugs are ideal because, and I just think people don't even think that that's like a gradual step up, you know? Like you kinda just train for it. And I also feel like my experience prior to like testing these out or being curious about it was probably just going into a sex shop and seeing like metal butt plugs with jewels on the back of them or tails or things that I was like, And then B, it was like, oh my gosh, that's way too far out of my comfort zone. Like A, I don't understand it. And then B, I'd be like, well, that's a lot, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they were like intimidating. And somehow we managed to get our little peaches and they're anything but intimidating. There's little cuties and there's two sizes. So you've got like the very first stage beginner type. and then the next one up so you can dabble. And a nice big flared bass because if you read our confessions, people lose things up their butt all the time that shouldn't be in there and it's important to stick with something with a big flared bass so you will not be needing to go to A&E. Yeah, because the way, yeah, you've got two sphincters in there so you've got the first like the first... Joe's clenchy hole and then if anything goes past the second sphincter you actually can't get it out so that's why people do end up getting off to A&E because they use things without a fled base so I think that's a huge part of it. And it also, like you say Joe, is great if you are just a little bit curious, you don't need a jump straight to having a dildo or a penis in there and then it just makes it approachable. which is great. And I think in terms of the, like, why should, you know, what's the point? Why should I, like, use one? I think you can, you know, you can use it in every day if you like, you could walk around with this on. It doesn't vibrate, so it's not gonna turn on without you knowing. It is, you know, people do get pleasure from that, like something a little bit naughty, but I think where, like, I personally have found a lot of pleasure from them is if you are having sex with someone and it makes it feel, like, fuller. makes things feel more pleasurable. And then obviously if you have a partner who's got a penis, then they've also got their prostate in there. So actually, with the two pack, you could have one each. Yeah, absolutely. Jo's got little hands reaching into the frame of the podcast. I will not be going person school holidays again. We might have to do a late one next time after bedtime verb. I love it. And so to launch Peaches, we wanted to do something that was a little bit different. We wanted to do something that was fun and exciting. And we actually just wanted to come up with something that people wanted to share. Because just as in other bits of our marketing, I think we identified quite early on with anything in this space where people were going to feel uncomfortable. We need to make it. funny so that it's shareable. Just like confessions, you'll share a confession with someone or a meme that you find funny, but there's probably less of a chance that you're gonna share the anatomy of a vulva with someone or something, or even a picture of the booty plugs, unless it's say your partner, whereas this sort of starts conversations with friends when we bring humor into it. So we wanted to do something that got people excited about it and sort of built the hype. well, isn't it? Like we, we keep things fun. And also one of our values is to keep it scrappy. So anything we do in marketing, we find that it goes well the best when we do keep it, keep it scrappy. Like we don't invest too much money, a lot of the time into it. And it brings like a different vibe, I think than what other people do, doesn't it? Like it's just something unique and you know, we take a different angle. Anyway, so our send out for peaches were peaches. So the idea we had was to send out peaches anonymously, like peach themed things. So tinder peaches, peach lollies, peach iced tea. It was basically anything the supermarket had that, you know, was peach. flavored and could be sent in the mail. And we thought we'd put a cute like peachy pun on there and just anonymously, you know, get people intrigued, get that little bit of hype going behind it, you know, thinking like who's sending these peach products and then their followers and all the influences because we sent 75 of everything out. Like we sent 75 of these things. And We just, you know, like as soon as people, you know, as soon as they see it on social media, they start talking. They see other influencers have got it. And you know, it becomes this, okay, who's doing the Peach PR? So the send outs were, number one was, yeah, a 10 of peaches and the note said, you want a peach of me? And number two was, oh, we did. Viv's in Aussie, I'm in New Zealand. So they were kind of a bit different. Mine were the peach lollies. And I think it said, I hope your day's as nice as your peach emoji. And day three, what was the note on that? I sent the iced tea and then it was like, there's something, we have a secret? Yeah, we said we have a secret and it's making us feel just peachy. Yeah. Cute. And then... Day four was our last peach random themed thing before they were going to get um Peach's booty plugs and so parcel number four had a note that are you all peached out yet? Um yeah and then the booty plugs with uh Viv and I dressed up a peach costume and like surprise it's us! Little card with it. Yeah, I think it said, did you guess or something? And then it went into like, and all the peachy stuff. And look, it definitely brought the hype and we had plenty of influencers posting guesses and like laughing about the packages. They were quite like invested in the process. We had people messaging, we had people messaging our like other friend whose business is called Peachy saying like, is this you, is this you? So it was definitely like generating quite a buzz. But it did at the same time, like, and we completely overlooked how this was actually taken as quite creepy from some influences. And I think now looking back, it's like, oh yeah, we really fucked up here. But at the time, that's just not what went through our minds. I think it's- Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Yeah, hindsight is a great thing. And when we did hear that people had freaked out about it, we had a couple of people message us. We jumped on the phone to them as soon as possible to apologize like talked it through with them Got some really good feedback and look if there are influences listening or anyone else that we do just want to take a moment to apologize If we haven't already been in contact with you and if this is you and we haven't please click listen message more than happy to have a chat And yeah, I guess it's all it was always our intention for this to be like fun playful That's always where this is coming from. But we do know that we overstep the mark in this situation and we want to take full responsibility for it. And it's definitely been a big learning curve that we'll use for our future marketing. But yeah. The feedback's been really helpful. Yeah, but we have something else exciting coming soon. The next product is... I went to say her name and I'm not going to give you her name. You can try and guess her name if you want. It starts with a D. I'll give you that. I've never tested a toy before and thought this could be more loved than Missy. Yeah. I haven't tested it. We got two, the first two samples went to Viv and Lib, our customer service girl. They, out of the team, I think they're the two that probably have the most experience in toys, so we sent to those two for the best, like, ultimate feedback. And like, I've been buzzing ever since you guys gave us the feedback. So yeah, it was, there's, yeah, Hannah and I were working on this toy together and then neither of we just sent it to you two and yay. Yeah, I have nailed the look. Like the look is not like any other toy in this realm. Like it's just so. again, approachable, non intimidating, like not a big deal. You kind of like, you just, you just want to own it, you know, cause it's just so like, it's, it just looks so good. We were laughing the other day because I sent a picture to the group chat of like a couple of other similar toys that I own. And I'm like, I just would pick ours every time. Like the others are just so intense. I'm like, no wonder no one buys like, no, you know, that these aren't very popular with this function. I'm like that it's just not. It's just not something that makes you go, oh, that's cute, bit of self care, blah, blah. It's just like, wow, that's a big decision to make or you've got to kind of hide that one away. Whereas, yeah, like anything else, this is very cute and it's functionality wise, insane. I reckon it's my current favorite. It's, well, it is my current favorite toy, easily. That's so cool. I'm so excited. I can't get the smile off my face. But the funny part that went into and with us was that when the supplier, we're in constant chats with our supplier and when the supplier sent us a message, they were like, it connects to an app, I'll say that. So it can connect to an app and one of the functions on this certain app that the supplier sent to us was it like in time with some, like and how it can work with porn I inadvertently opened this video of porn on the bus, which was just great timing, but that's fine. And I think probably also, also I was watching, like I was looking at a video of the toy and what it looked like, and then I'm also watching this porn. And to be fair, I think like that desensitization, like I'll watch, I'll look at pictures of toys and stuff on, you know, when I'm on Slack and stuff on the bus, that's no problem. But when the porn came into it, I was like, oh, probably a bit far. Oh my gosh, and yeah, lucky it wasn't overly busy. But they also said that you can- Then we got a message. And then we got a message that you can also take your face and put it onto the people's face in the porn. And we were like, when I saw that come through, I was just like, oh, that's great. And I was like, Joe can deal with that. I'm like, no, you won't. Not really on brand for us. Not on brand for us at all. But you know what? Because I feel like maybe we should get your face. We could do a little video and take the piss on the burner account. That would be fun. We'll definitely get our burner account banned if we put the porn on the burner account. Very true. Very true. Okay. Maybe not. Maybe not. But yeah, amazing. It was very funny. What technology is coming out these days. Yes, it was very funny. But anyway, I'm, yeah, I'm I'm so excited about that. That is, that's going to be a game changer for everyone. I think once you've like it, if you're at the stage where you just want sort of external toy, you want, want Missy, then that's the toy for you. But as soon as you're ready to move up or like you're a bit more curious, then like, then this is the toy. Yeah. So stoked. All right. I think that's us. Yeah. The updates.
