Hello and welcome to another episode of the Girls Get Off podcast. Today we are bringing you all the gossip from the launch party. It was so fab so last Thursday in the Gold Coast at the Pink Flamingo we held our launch event for Tiff, our new toy, an internal external vibrator and it was so much fun. I think... Joe and I had been to the Pink Flamingo a few months earlier and just thought, oh my goodness, this is such a good spot. It's like so on brand. I think the Gold Coast has a reputation within Australia for being like a very tacky place. And while I think that is partially true, the Pink Flamingo itself was just like so. It was just so fab. It was like, it's already on brand, it's pink and gold. The acts are incredible. The people who work there and perform are like extremely diverse. Like it's just, it's such a cool vibe. And it just fitted perfectly with our brand values and you know, the look. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. That's so funny, the tacky Gold Coast comment. I didn't even think of that before now. I'm glad you didn't say that prior to the launch. No, but pink flamingo is anything but tacky. It's like world class. Like I think I was chatting to a friend who, people have already been that live there, but there were multiple people who hadn't, like actually a lot of people who hadn't, and even a friend that was gonna fly from Sydney was like, their plus one was like, oh my gosh, I've heard about the Pink Flamingo, I haven't been there yet though, like the acts are just amazing. So we were able to pick like lots of different spot acts from some of their shows that they put on every week. And yeah, I think the feedback was, I had multiple people come up to me and say that it was the best launch event that I've ever been to, like I've been to lots of events before. So that was like some influences and some like. what we call influential people or buyers. So yeah, it was amazing feedback. Yeah, yeah. I, everybody's like, cause I think when you organise a big event too, hey, like a wedding or something, not that Viv and I have ever had to organise a wedding. But I think like afterwards you're like, oh, I would have done this different or I would have done this different or something. I have been asked that so many times since the launch and I literally would have just asked for no calamari on the tray. That's the only thing I would have done differently. There was one point in the night where I felt like some food and I was like, oh, a tray of food and she's like calamari and I'm like, oh, that just gave me the like. I know. If you'd have tried to put that event on anywhere else, it would have just been like insane. You would have just, it would have just been like. the pinnacle event by itself, like the moving parts to make that show happen are huge. So the fact that they have it all there, the costumes. Just like even the people at the door and guiding people, their costumes and their outfits were just incredible. And then we had the amazing Justine Case and Dixie D emceeing the night. Dixie what? Dixie wrecked. Dixie wrecked? I just liked how Justine was calling it Dixie D, Dixie wrecked, okay. Anyway, and like how, I'm just, they were just born for it. These are the two drag queens and they were just hilarious. So we hadn't even met them before and we were at the rehearsal the day of. and they were just like the jokes that they were just pumping out at this rehearsal was so funny and it did not disappoint on the night. Like I think everyone was just in stitches. They were just ripping people out in the front row like giving everyone heaps of shit and then the performances that they did as well were just so funny. So funny, yeah. That was example of ripping people out. I think they were like, oh, that was mediocre. just like this lady's outfit in the front row. And then they caught somebody's shoes from Kmart or something. And the girl at the end was like, Jane Goldbarg's shoes, Kmart, and they were $90. And I was like, oh my gosh. So funny. So we had an aerial performance. We had a couple of aerial performances. We had a bathtub, there was water, there was just like, junior dance. I loved the music was like, like GGO type music, but almost like a bit bassier. So it was like made everyone want to dance. And what other acts do we had? Oh, the drag queens both did their solo performances. We had the roller skates up first, which I was like terrified. They were, basically there was a guy and a girl and she at one stage was literally just had her. like feet around his neck, and then he was like spinning around so fast, and like they're on this little platform, and I was just so stressed. My heart rate was so high. I was like, oh my gosh, it's so hard to watch. Some people got footage of Viv's face during that act, and it was amazing. It was just so stressful, and I think we were all just like, wow. So that was like the first one, and then yeah, all the acts that followed were just so great. Yeah. And we did do a speech in there, got through that. Luckily Viv's a good talker because I had a few too many drinks beforehand. It went so well. You did so fab. Jo, I was like, I'm not bringing any notes up on stage. I was like, okay, I definitely am. But you did amazing. I just brought a drink, another one. That's so funny. But yeah, no, and so we kind of picked our highlights as well from the past year, but the highlights were kind of more fails, I think. And it was so funny, yeah, showing our favourite clips and stuff. And I think people loved it. I like watching it back and hearing all the laughing. And we said to, like the venue staff, we said, hold on. you know, we've got our Volvo costume, Volvo, and we just need someone to wear it because everyone here is dressed up to do the reveal. So we didn't actually know who was gonna be wearing it. And then this dude came out wearing Volvo with glittery gloves on and just played the part, like, no tomorrow. And when everyone was playing, flop the cock, this drag. this game that the drag queens were hosting. He was just off to the side, like just like shimmering around in the corner. And I was like, this is just so good. It was so funny. Volvy had a beard. It was so funny. It was so great. Oh my gosh. Yeah, gosh, so much to share. What, oh my gosh. And then Viv, so I'm not sure if you've all seen the footage yet of when I incorrectly hired Viv a strippagram for her birthday this year. So I thought a strippagram right was going to turn up at her front door, sing happy birthday and do this like cheesy little strip or something. And anyway, apparently Australians have a different, I don't know, strippagram. um, means something different because this stripper turned up at Viv's house, 3pm on a Sunday when she was sober, got changed in her bathroom, and then did like a half hour strip tease. And the photos are hilarious of Viv's face. Like hilarious. So funny. It was so bad. So, so anyway, that was one of the clips we showed in our speech and um, the drag queens like had Viv's back and organised a bit of payback when the strippers came on at the end. And I think one of my favourite parts of that whole clip, I can't believe how many photos there are of that act by the way. Go on Facebook and we put up an album of Tiff Launch Party and scroll to like the bottom and there's Joe and one of the strippers is like fool licking you. It's so wild. Oh my gosh. But my favourite part of the clip, like we, I think it went live on Instagram at the time, hey. And so that's saved to our Instagram feed as well. But as I'm walking, getting walked onto the stage, Viv in the background is just like, So good. Oh my gosh. It was so funny. Yeah, I was too busy dying, I think that like rewatching it back. I was like, oh my gosh. At least you didn't have to touch their flaccid balls like I did at the Strip-A-Gram. Stop. Yes. Stop. Multiple times. Oh no. I had to take his jocks off with my mouth. No! I didn't see that footage! I honestly ask anyone sitting on that couch that day, if you remember, I don't know if it was worse to watch me or to be me or to be watching, it was so bad. So can you please sing? Okay, maybe I got it easy on the paper then. He did a backwards roll and his flaccid piece hit my thigh. I was like, this is so much for a Sunday. So much for a Sunday. You were hungover too. It was so bad. Anyway. That's so funny. Okay, yeah, well, mine was great compared to what we've experienced, to be fair. But... No, for me as well, it was, one of the girls working, like how nice were the staff? We'll just say that again. Every single one of them was incredible. I was just trying to get them all to drink with us instead of work. I'm like, you working for it? They were just so great. But anyway, one that I'd been speaking to earlier, I knew that it was her partner and like, The stripper was her partner and so I felt like horrible when he grabbed my hand and he's like rubbing and I know that's the job I know but I was just like, I need your girlfriend. Oh my gosh. I felt so bad. That's all part of it I guess. She was like, I'm just glad that it's you. Oh my god, that is so sweet. Oh, that is so good. Yeah, so amazing, amazing acts. And obviously we also had some really amazing people join us as well. So I think we probably had 150 people there. We had a real mix of people, including some of our... Some cool influences like Healthy Jack 101 and also Michael Finch was like a last minute RSVP, which was so funny. And at one stage, like it kind of went quiet. And then the drag queens were about to announce something and you could just hear Michael Finch go, fuck me. And I asked him at the end, I was like, was that you? And he's like, yeah, it was, it was like perfectly timed. It was so funny. And yeah, I am pretty sure it is one of these memories I'm trying to block out, but I'm pretty sure I tried to get him to stay at the end by pimping out. one of our friends that was here. Yeah, all around amazing. I don't know anyone who didn't look great. I think the only curve ball we had was we had some like, and I mean the reason that it's taken us so long, as we mentioned in another episode, to even launch this toy is the huge challenges that just getting these toys made and that this whole process has presented. So we found out, we'd allowed time for the product to get here and then we had yet another hurdle. And so basically we actually didn't know if we were going to have any TIFs at the launch. We were going to have some but knowing that we were going to have almost, you know, over 150 people at the launch, we're like, we don't know whether we're actually going to have it here. So we had to kind of cut our, spread our risk a little bit and we had some empty boxes for decoration so at least people could see it. They could see the packaging and we only had 100 in the end, only 100 turned up the day before the launch. So not even the day before, the evening before the launch, like it was touch and go. Yeah, so some people, yeah, so some people got five, some didn't, but we've got a plan for those who didn't and that's all sorted. But yeah, it was certainly a wild ride right up to the last minute, I think. Yeah, I'm sure we announced the fact like the queens did say that there isn't enough for everybody, but you know, PR packages will go out as well. And, um, I don't think everybody got the memo on that because people were just crap, like thinking it's a lucky day and grabbing like all the empty boxes that we had decoration and they got home to a disappointed how disappointing would that have been? My God, my God. But it was just, it was just. So yeah, it was great. Oh, everything was great. Everything was so good. And then, yeah, it did take me a few days to come up. Yeah, and then like, I mean, I guess following on from that, like even literally the next day, we're already getting this feedback coming in saying how much people are loving TIFF, that it's just so great. I mean, this also, you know, we mentioned earlier that it. or Tiff is waterproof as well, which is a big change from Missy Mini. So we've had, I've had feedback from people who have used it with their partners and that's just been amazing. So yeah, we're really, really stoked and now it's even better that we're getting those testimonials in already. Yeah, and the partner in that case was stoked too, hey. Yeah, for sure. They both loved it, had a great time. Yeah, so I think my new business life goal actually is to be known as people that can throw freckled parties because that was amazing. So fab, yeah. So 10 out of 10. And yeah, go and check out TIFF if you haven't already. It's all live on the website. I think they'll be getting shipped mid-October now. We did say early October, but... Again, a couple of other hurdles, so it's not that much of an extra weight, but there is a little bit more of a delay there, but we're pretty confident we will be able to get them to you mid, middle of the month. And she's worth the wait. She is worth the wait. Have a little cutie tip. Yep. Yep, okay. Love it guys. Thanks for joining us on this random episode that just gets me pumped for our next launch party. Yay, thanks for listening. Cool. Bye!
